OCTOBER Artwalk Reception

for the

ANNUAL OTC FINE ART FACULTY EXHIBITION

OTC Fine Arts Gallery 3rd Floor Gillioz will hold an opening reception during First Friday Artwalk, Friday, October 1, 2010 from 6:00pm-10:00pm.  We will be featuring artwork from our Fine Art Department faculty.  Visual Art Instructors Cathy Clemens, Kat Allie, Tom McCune, Jim Delgadillo, Ron Reese, and Mary Gainey will have a variety of two-dimensional and three-dimensional artwork on display.  Theatre Arts instructor Jon Herbert will present a staged reading of his short play "Beloved Exile," a story based on the memoir of Louisa Cheairs Mckenney Sheppard, one of the founders of Springfield. Jon’s performances will be at 7:30pm and 8:30pm.  Sheppard's memoir, "A Confederate Girlhood" can be read on the Springfield-Greene County Library's digital collection: "Community and Conflict: the Impact of the Civil War on the Ozarks" at ozarkscivilwar.com.

Music Instructors Andrew Bishko and Rick Haegg will also have live performances throughout the evening during the Artwalk reception. Special refreshments will be served.  All are invited to this fabulous collaboration by our talented Fine Art Faculty.
