Presenter: Christina Royal, Ph.D., Associate Vice President of eLearning & Innovation, Cuyahoga Community College

Many institutions have invested in building online programs to reach students at a distance, but, all too often, that investment is focused primarily on academic and curricular activities such as course design and development. Institutions now recognize that e-support services are critical to student success in online programs. Cuyahoga Community College engaged in a college-wide distance learning strategic planning process to identify critical issues and priority needs related to online and hybrid learning. One of the key recommendations was the need to enhance the e-support services at the College. Christina Royal will present the need for e-support services, strategies for implementing these services, and how to make the business case for enhancing virtual services at your institution.
